TYPES OF ATRIUM DOORS

Atrium doors are a wonderful replacement choice for old patio doors. Atrium doors are glass doors, which provide you with a beautiful view of the outdoors while offering you a stylish look on the inside. If your patio doors are the old sliding glass doors with a worn screen, perhaps it’s time to replace it with a beautiful atrium door.
Atrium doors are available as either sliding doors or swinging doors. Hinged swinging atrium doors are in two sections, with one side of the window hinged, and the other section is fixed. Unlike French doors, which open in the middle with handles on both sides, atrium doors have a handle on the outside with the hinges on the inside.
The main benefit atrium doors with one fixed side have is space efficiency. For
rooms with limited space or for rooms that a sliding glass door just wouldn’t work, atrium doors are perfect. With one side fixed, you have the benefits of the extra light the double doors offer, making any room appear more open and spacious.
