How to Adjust Peachtree Sliding Door Rollers

December 28th, 2006

Peachtree sliding glass doors have a tandem roller assembly. You can get to this assembly from inside your house and adjust it easily with a large flat head screwdriver.

Most of the time you will have to remove a plug on the face of your Peachtree door panel. Doors that have the removable plus are the IPD Avanti, Newport, and Citadel sliding doors. This plug is about an 1 1/2″ from the bottom of the door panel. You can pry it loose with a smaller flat-head screwdriver. Ariel patio door rollers do not have this plug. With Ariel doors, you can reach the rollers by removing the door panel liners.

Once you can access the door rollers, you can adjust them with your flat head screwdriver. Just insert your screwdriver into the roller assembly and turn clockwise or counter-clockwise to raise or lower the panel. Pay attention to your Peachtree door as you adjust it. Turning your screwdriver clockwise will raise the door in some cases and lower it in others. It depends upon the door and roller assembly.

When you are done adjusting your Peachtree sliding door, the edge of the door should be parallel with the lock jamb and your door should be high enough so that it does not drag at the bottom.
